Sophia Pacynko

Neuroscience-informed workshops, and yoga, breathwork and meditation teaching, in Sydney.

Evidence-based yoga for mind and body.

Sophia Pacynko

Background

Sophia spent seven years in strategy and partnerships at Shell before moving into human performance. She holds a First Class MEng in Chemical Engineering from the University of Manchester and is completing an MSc in Psychology and Neuroscience of Mental Health at King's College London.

She is also a qualified yoga, breathwork and meditation teacher (RYT-200hr), teaching across studios on the Northern Beaches, Sydney. She brings experience inside a large organisation together with postgraduate training in the neuroscience of mental health.

How Sophia works

Three commitments sit behind every session, article and workshop.

Practice, not only information

Skills such as attention and regulation are cultivated through practice. Each session pairs a practice from yoga, breathwork or meditation with the science behind it.

Evidence, with its caveats

Research is brought into the room as it stands: where the evidence is strong, where it is still emerging, and where findings are associated with an outcome rather than shown to cause it.

Human skills for leaders

Emotional intelligence, conflict resolution and creative problem-solving matter more as AI takes on more analytical work. Flourish builds the five power skills underneath them.
